Earth Day in Trinity Park! 

Clean-Up-Palooza Beautification Extravaganza
Saturday April 22, 9:00 am – Noon

Creek Clean-up

  • 9:00 am: Meet at the Ellerbe Creek Greenway trail entrance on the 800 block of Green St.
  • Bring work gloves if you have them. 
  • We’lll pick up trash along the Greenway trail, remove invasive plants (multiflora rose, privet, stiltgrass and English Ivy), and weed the pollinator garden.  

Street Clean-up

  • 9:00-11:00 am: Come to the corner of Watts St. and Dacian Ave. to be assigned a territory for picking up litter along sidewalks
  • Bring work gloves if you have them 

Hazardous Waste Collection, E-cycling, and Textile Collection:

  • 9:00-11:00 am: Collection station open at the corner of Watts St. and Dacian Ave.
  • 11:00 am: Triangle ecycling will examine the electronics that have been collected to see if anything can be used in its work of training high school students in electronic repair. 
  • 12 noon: All remaining materials will be hauled to Durham’s Solid Waste collection site
