First TPNA ‘Main Street Social’ Smashing Success

By James Dobbins

On Friday evening June 7, Trinity Park held its inaugural Main Street Social. Starting at Bull McCabe’s, moving on to West End Wine Bar and finishing at Clouds Brewing, Trinity Park neighbors spent a beautiful evening enjoying each other’s company. Starting with about 40 and concluding with around 20 people, it seemed like everyone met someone new, made new friends, and shared stories and news from different parts of the neighborhood.  We also figured out that sometimes we knew each other by our dogs.

Bull McCabe’s has a large outdoor area with QR codes for ordering food and drinks. We gathered around a stretch of picnic tables and enjoyed conversation and the live band on hand.  After 90 minutes, we marched down Main Street to the West End Wine Bar.

Neighbors gathered together at Bull McCabe’s, before journeying on to the Wine Bar and Clouds

The Wine Bar had a great menu and a full bar with great selections of beer and wine.  We almost fully occupied the patio tables and also used the indoor tables.  It’s a great venue for mingling and finding new people to meet!  After some eats and drinks over another 90 minutes, we continued down the street to Clouds Brewery in Brightleaf.

Clouds has indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio.  We sat in one of the indoor private rooms with pitchers of different brews and closed the place!  Some of us kept the party going, relocating to the Federal and the James Joyce for even more drink and conversation.

Our thanks to all who attended and to each of the establishments!  We received great feedback and requests that we plan another Social. We expect to do that in the near future – after the temperatures moderate – so keep an eye out for the announcement.
